March For Meals

As the Coronavirus continues to cause concerns, St. Joseph Community Services has made the decision to cancel Community Champions Week scheduled for March 16 – 20. We are taking this precautionary measure to limit exposure from the public to our frail homebound clients. We will be posting regular updates via our social media accounts. To all those who signed up to be our champions, thank you. Your support means so much to all of us.

The week of March 16-20 is Community Champions Week which is part of March for Meals, a national Meals on Wheels Association initiative. To recognize this important initiative, we have invited our “champions:” local, state and federal officials, local celebrities, civil servants, and other prominent community figures to deliver meals, speak out and help raise public awareness for the nutritional and social needs of seniors. This week, and the champions who take part, truly help to demonstrate the power and impact of Meals on Wheels within our community.

This year, we will have champions in record numbers and we are so grateful for the critical support that their participation provides for our programs.

Stay tuned for photos and stories once we wrap up this important week!
