A Healthy Message: St. Joseph Community Services Releases Community Newsletter

As part of its ongoing effort to share news and information about its work, St. Joseph Community Services (SJCS) is pleased to announce the publication of its latest newsletter.

“In addition to our daily core mission of client care and support, we feel it is also important to provide avenues through which our clients and the community at large can access news and information about our agency,” said Jonathan Eriquezzo, Vice President, St. Joseph Community Services. “This element, along with our Facebook page and Twitter, offer multiple ways to learn about the many activities and happening at SJCS.”

Mr. Eriquezzo went on to say that the monthly newsletter could be accessed via the agency’s website: www.mealsonwheelsnh.org. Interested members of the community can also be added to SJCS’s email list by sending a request to info@sjcsinc.org. The newsletter is free and available to anyone.

Additional news about the organization can also be accessed via its Twitter handle - @MoWSJCS and via Facebook @mealsonwheelsnh.

Mr. Eriquezzo noted that these two avenues would continue to provide “real time” news and information, details on community events and information about schedule changes due to inclement weather.

St. Joseph Community Services began operations in 1977; in our first year, we provided 426, 979 meals and wellness checks, within 10 years the need for our services more than doubled, resulting in 277,382 meals and wellness checks served in 1987. In 2019, we provided 426,979 meals and wellness checks.

Now celebrating our 43rd of service to those in need, St. Joseph Community Services works with a licensed kitchen in the heart of Manchester, NH that produces over 8,000 nutritious meals each week. Meals are then delivered to numerous dining centers throughout Hillsborough County where they are served to older adults in community dining centers or sent out as Meals on Wheels dinners to homebound, older, and disabled adults.
